I’d die happy if I was Whistler and had painted those falling rockets X

Isn't it magnificent! I read that he took the critic to court for slander, the critic tried to prove that because it had only taken him two days to paint it was not very good but Whistler managed to prove the value of the beauty of the painting and won!

Thanks for drawing my attention to the interesting way many of my favourite musicians are/were also painters.

I was immediately drawn to this article since When I Paint My Masterpiece is one of my favorite songs. I love that Bob Dylan wrote it and I love it even more when Bob Weir sings it. Thanks for a great piece

Love that Frank's wife called him 'Charlie Neat'! Despite the fact that he was incredibly clean, my friend Cec just told me that he was known for wiping his shoes clean on the couch cushions!

I will never be one of those. My father was a great artist. A few people tried to teach me, but when it comes to visual art, I am incapable of creating anything I might admire and unwilling to take time away from my music to learn. I get all the satisfaction I need from my music. Having said that, I watched a guy painting a beach scene on his easel as I went for my regular walk the other day, and he looked very chill. His work was very good too.
