Incredible lyrics, never read anything quite like them! I had read some about George & Piaf and thought their love sounded very sincere - but this - wow!
Wonderful to know Green Eyes was about Ian . A great character who is very much missed by many. But such is the beauty of songs that enshrine those memories for us.
Wow, Lo, your "Green Eyes" is gorgeous! Completely captivating. Thanks for casting that spell.
Since making Dylan references is kind of my thing, I'll add a quick footnote that one of my favorite songs on The Basement Tapes is "Clothes Line Saga," his answer to Bobbie Gentry's "Ode to Billie Joe." Dylan manages to be simultaneously hilarious and totally creepy in a song that feels like walking through a weird and vaguely ominous dream.
Wow Graley thanks so much listening and your kind words. I had no idea that Bobby D wrote an answer song to Bobbie G and I can’t wait to listen! Always love to deepen my knowledge of the world of Bob songs, cos it’s always a joy.

I just saw a beautiful pic of Ian and Cathy on Cathy’s band Little Gem FB page - he really was a wonderful character. Thanks Jeff.
This is a wonderful read Lo. Thank you so much xx
