Oh Lo ! You poor darlin’ being unwell . . try having some lovely, spicy, asian soups . . like Tom Yum’s ( one of my fav’s ) with all the fresh herbs 🍃 ginger 🌶 lemongrass etc

I call it ‘medicine soup’ & helps to flush away any nasty bugs that get a hold of you.

I also recommend a shot of Jägermeister . . one around brunch time & another in the evening 👍

Will try to make it down for the Sun 6 th gig !

much love & many get well wishes & hugs

That would be wonderful Ally, and thanks for the hot soups tips - although I don't think I could take any Jagermeister! Too many rock'n'roll memories in that stuff! x

Hope you're feeling a little better. " I'm skeptical about miracles" sounds like a good line for a country song about being down and out in one way or another. xxx

Yes it sure does! I am all better now, thank you, though still sound like I've been out partying way too hard!

Hey Lo, that brought back some memories for me. I've had problems with my throat that have stopped me recording my last song which I wrote a year ago, so your story resonates with me. Vocalzone is my usual go to, which is really good in a hurry.

I got to visit a couple of old bluesmen backstage, they will remain nameless, who were sniffing boot polish before they went up for their first set. I've had the buzz from cough syrup when I was very crook on a trip once, made me feel better for a little while, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I love Miriam Makeba singing Pata Pata. When I was little my parents had an album of her singing that and another click song that they used to play a lot. I learned how to do that along with the record, but it didn't fit my performance style lol. Get well soon.

On a trip one day I was listening to a radio show where a famous rabbi was being interviewed and they asked him if chicken soup had genuine medicinal qualities. He replied that as far as he knew it didn't and said that whisky didn't help medicinally either, but it made you feel better.

Thanks for the introduction to Vocalzone - I've not heard of it before and it looks good. I think the rabbi is right, whatever makes you feel better, is what works for you. Unfortunately time is generally the only medicine that really works in these situations!

Give Vocalzone a try. When the show must go on and your voice isn't so keen, you will thank me.
