Great read as always, the great Erich Weis aka Houdini fell out of friendship with Sir Arthur over his unquestioning belief in the spirit world. I read Houdinis bio and if ever there was a death obsessed human it was he, he uncovered so many fake mediums because he was looking for a genuine one to contact his beloved Mother.
Apologies for this rabbit hole, maybe it was driving through Diggers Rest in Victoria where Houdini flew his aircraft to claim the distinction of being one of the first to do so.
Working in hospice many dying people spoke of the room filled with "visitors". I took it as a blessing.
I’ve read quite a lot about dying people seeing their dead family members and friends… how amazing for you to witness that. It’s a lovely thought and I hope it happens to me! Very interesting re Houdini!!
