There are all kinds of songs and songs for all occasions. But sometimes - when hearts are heavy and times are dark or we’re just lost for words - all we need is a perfect song that causes some kind of cosmic grounding connection between us and the universe and if this isn’t it, I don’t know what is.
My recommendation for today’s Loose Connections Recommender #12 is to listen to this song ‘Space and Time’ by S.G. Goodman from Kentucky USA whenever you need to get right with the world, or you just need a little space and time to think about the things that matter.
You know it makes me happy oh when we share this space and time ….. want you to know you've shaped this heart of mine ….. and I never want to leave this world, without saying I love you
If you enjoyed that and want to listen again, like I always do, try this sensational live version by Tyler Childers and the Food Stamps (with harmony help from S. G. Goodman and Erin Rae) at the Grand Ole Opry.
You make me happy, sharing this space and time with me.
What does it for you?
Lo x
I guess its synchronicity...a few days ago, I'd never heard Space and Time. Now I was just at the cinema watching MASTER GARDENER and as the end credits roll, the song they are playing is SPACE and TIME. Different beautiful version by Mereba.
I was the only person in the theatre, and the film is pretty good.
Ok , I’ve made it ! before end of sunday
Cities of Texas - Paul Kelly & the messengers
Summer in Siam - The Pogues
