So good to read this from you. People who ARE NOT musicians love to weigh in on this topic, having no idea what it's actually like to live this reality. Writing/recording/releasing records, touring, being your own publicist, constantly promoting, incessantly creating content so there's consistent output. These are each full time jobs yet many of us do all of them single-handedly, and for no financial compensation. The least the industry could do is give us some respect and credit for this actual work than the streams (or lack thereof) counted on Spotify.
